Why we built it

We build and operate software products, and every one of them needs addresses — hello@, support@, privacy@, no-reply@. Across a portfolio of domains, that is dozens of mailboxes that send and receive very little mail, each billed as a full seat by every mainstream provider. The economics are backwards: the cost scales with the number of addresses a business needs, not with the amount of mail it actually sends.

The alternatives were worse than the price. Free forwarding services do not let you reply as yourself, so mail leaves from a personal address and the reply-to is wrong — which for anything client-facing is not a workaround, it is a defect. We wanted a real mailbox on our own domains at a cost that did not scale with the number of hats a small team wears. We built it, we run our own mail on it, and we opened it up.

What Omucloud is

A business email service for your own domain. You point DNS records at us, and you@yourcompany.com becomes a real mailbox — sending DKIM-signed mail from your domain, receiving to an inbox with search, attachments, a calendar and an iOS app. Not an alias, not a forwarder that rewrites your sender address into somebody else's.

It is free, and permanently so for the mailboxes we describe as free (we reserve the right to revise the price for future customer registered after 2027). There is no per-seat charge, which is the specific thing that makes conventional business email expensive for a small company that needs eight addresses and has four people.

It is built around the idea that the tools a one-person business uses should be the same tools that still work when it becomes a team — the same instinct behind giving a small company real mail on its own domain without a seat licence. How we build

We do not monetise your mail. Omucloud contains no analytics package, no telemetry, no tracking pixel, no session recording and no advertising tag — not on the marketing pages and not in the app. We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use your messages to train machine-learning models. There is no AI or language-model integration in Omucloud of any kind.

We describe the product as it is. Our Security page states plainly that Omucloud is not end-to-end encrypted, that our staff can technically access production data but are prohibited from doing so, and is precise about which certifications are held by our infrastructure providers rather than by us. We would rather lose a signup to an honest limitation than win one on a claim that will not survive scrutiny.

You can leave. You own the domain, so your addresses are yours. Delete your account from Settings without asking us, and point your DNS somewhere else. A free service you cannot exit is not free.
